Triantaros clings to the Aegean-facing slope of Kechrovouni at around 380 metres, on the ridge people call the balcony of Tinos. If you are looking for accommodation in Triantaros — a real holiday house rather than a hotel room — this page is written from inside the village: three of our four freshly renovated houses are here, and so are our family and friends.
From the terraces the view runs over Mykonos, Delos and Syros; on clear days you count six islands. Behind you: marble lanes, carved fanlights, dovecotes, and a taverna you will not want to leave.
Why stay in Triantaros
Of the forty-odd villages on Tinos, Triantaros is one of the few that stays properly alive in the evenings. Triantaraki, the beloved village taverna, cooks honest island food a short stroll from our doors; the lanes fill with neighbours rather than tour groups; and the open sea stays in sight from almost every terrace.

Three houses in the village
Each house is one of a kind — freshly renovated with the island’s stone, wood and light, never from a catalogue. Getting here & getting around
The port is about 8.5 km away — roughly fifteen minutes by car — and there is free parking near the houses. The village lanes themselves are stepped marble: beautiful, but not suitcase-wheel friendly, so pack light and we will help with luggage on arrival. A car is recommended; the beaches of the south coast are a short drive, and which one to pick depends on the day’s wind — ask us.
Around the village
The Tinos Trails network runs straight through the village: the loop over Kechrovouni Monastery and Arnados is our home walk — see hiking on Tinos. The vineyards of Falatados and Volax are a 15–20 minute drive for a wine tasting, the marble country of Pyrgos half an hour — worth the trip. Is there parking in Triantaros?
Yes — free parking near the houses. The village lanes themselves are pedestrian: stepped marble, two minutes on foot from parking to any of our doors. We help with luggage on arrival.
How far is Triantaros from the port and Chora?
About 8.5 km — around fifteen minutes by car. Ferries reach Tinos from Rafina (~2 h fast ferry) and Piraeus, and we will point you to trusted drivers and car rental.
Which beaches are closest?
The south-coast beaches, such as sandy Agios Romanos, are a short drive. When the meltemi blows we send guests to the sheltered side — tell us the day and we will name the beach.
Where do we eat in the village?
Triantaraki, the village taverna, is the local favourite — honest island cooking a short stroll from our houses. The plane-tree square of Dyo Choria and its taverna are a walk along the ridge.
